Whayne is the Thomas Built Buses Dealer for the state of Kentucky. Thomas Buses manufactures primarily school buses for pupil transportation and also commercial buses for use as airport transporters up through large buses for city transit systems. Thomas distributes and supports their products through a network of 50 independent dealers.

Thomas was founded in 1916 and has plants in North Carolina and Ontario, Canada. They employ approximately 2000 people and produce about 14,000 units per year.
