14 Service Locations - All Whayne locations have fully staffed service departments equipped with specialized tooling to diagnose problems and perform needed repairs. Ninety five percent (95%) of customers are within 55 miles of a Whayne facility.
Service Area - Company wide, 150 service bays in over 300,000 sq. ft. of service area, feature modern equipment and tooling to save time and expense in servicing your equipment. Specialized cranes & hoists strategically located in the shops speed repairs. Five Star Certified Clean by Caterpillar.
Service Personnel -Over 650 individuals work in Whayne’s Service Department. Managers average 25 years of experience. In addition to service technicians, customer assistance is provided by:

Hydraulic Repair & Exchange Service -Experienced Hydraulic Specialists use advanced equipment to quickly repair hydraulic cylinders and pumps. Repairs are performed to Cat specs using genuine CAT parts. CAT’s reusability guidelines are followed to reuse your parts when possible to lower cost. After repair, hydraulic cylinders are tested under “load-type” conditions for internal or external leaks. Repairs are backed by a six-month warranty.
Service Training -Whayne’s Training Department has four full-time factory trained instructors. Service personnel receive over 11,000 service training hours annually on the latest machines and diagnostic equipment.
Emergency After Hours Service - Dial 1-800-4 WHAYNE (1-800-494-2963) for emergency assistance when our service departments are closed. Emergency service is available 24/7.
Caterpillar Certified Rebuild - Restores machines to “like new” performance and reliability for considerably less than new replacement cost. Have a Certified Rebuild performed on your machine (available on select models) or purchase a Whayne rebuilt unit. Take advantage of its built-in second life.
Power Rebuild Centers Whayne’s two rebuild facilities, staffed by component rebuild specialists, use the latest tools, techniques and test equipment to assure fast rebuilds to exacting tolerances. Engines are dyno-tested at load to seat rings and ensure rated horsepower. A transmission test bench insures proper transmission operation and shift points settings. Rebuilt engines, transmissions and other components are available as off-the-shelf exchange, or your component can be rebuilt and returned as a firm-priced repair.
Louisville PRC - 29,000 sq. ft. climate-controlled rebuild shop with a transmission and hydraulic test cell and a 2,500 hp engine dyno. Five-Star Certified Clean by CAT!
Corbin PRC - 65,000 sq. ft. climate-controlled shop with nine specialized rebuilding areas, a transmission & hydraulic test cell, a 2,000 & 3,000 hp engine dyno and a hydraulic cylinder machine & service department. Five-star Certified Clean by CAT!
Field Service - Over 430 field service trucks, outfitted with the needed tooling and equipment, handle on-site repair. Our field service staff is highly trained and qualified. Both emergency & field service is available 24/7.
Undercarriage Rebuilding All locations provide fast service for rebuilt parts. With over $3.5 million invested in undercarriage tooling, Whayne rebuilds idlers, rollers, links and grousers. Many frequently needed components are available from our Exchange Inventory. Flat-rate pricing is available on most repairs. Seven locations have undercarriage rebuilding capabilities.
Repair Options - A full range of firm-priced Repair Options lets you know your repair costs up front and choose only as much repair as your equipment needs.
Wear Analysis Lab - Provides fast wear analysis and responsive reports that pinpoint abnormal wear in major components. Early detection allows many problems to be corrected before they result in major repairs and downtime. Whayne has analyzed over three million oil samples. Results are available over the Internet to PartStore subscribers.
Technical Communication Center - The Technical Communicators have an extensive library of service manuals & product update information to support shop and field service technicians, should an unusual problem be encountered with a machine.
Machine Inspection and Maintenance Programs - Economical, in-depth machine analysis and tailored maintenance programs help maximize machine life and lower operating costs.
